Silhouette Alexander Girard Sculpture
Vitra Design, Germany

Add a modernist touch to your interior with the Silhouettes table-top sculptures by Alexander Girard for Vitra. Designed by the American architect/designer in 1965; Vitra's Silhouette is available as a bull- or mermaid sculpture. Each sculpture is fashioned from black powder-coated steel and comes with felt glides. Vitra Silhouette measure 11" in height and 5" in width. They come packaged in a wooden box suitable for gift giving.

Vitra Silhouettes Bull - In 1965 Alexander Girard has created a series of charming metal figures that appear to be dancing: Silhouettes. Rhythm is a dancer and so are the Bull and the Mermaid which act as complementary forces; especially when seen as man and women. Naturally, there's also mermen which we equally love although there's no sculpture available for that yet.

In 1965 Alexander Girard was commissioned to design the New York restaurant La Reserve and created a series of charming metal figures that appear to be dancing. These new Vitra editions are manufactured according to the exact standards of the original and are fully authorized by the Girard estate.

Price is 1 (one) sculpture.
