Vitra has now re-launched serial production of the highly sought-after House Bird in walnut with black metal feet. This simple wood bird looks stylish as an accent in any decor. Stands at 11" tall, 10.82" deep and 3.5" wide.
Charles and Ray Eames collected numerous objects from their travels. The figure of a wooden bird, an object of American folk art from the Appalachian Mountains, has stood in the centre of their living room for over fifty years. The bird is also seen in many of the Eameses’ photographs as well as the still popular Wire Chair & Bird advertisment. Based on the original artifact and in cooperation with the Eames Family, Vitra is now producing the first series of this figure. Made in Germany.
