Verner Panton: Living Tower
Vitra, Germany.

Verner Panton designed the Living Tower in 1969. We have always been attracted to this flamboyant and psychedelic piece of modern furniture. Intended to be a space age sculpture for indoor relaxation and perhaps communal dwelling since it comfortably seats a couple of people. Living landscapes were one of the major themes of Sixties Design. This organically shaped furniture sculpture was created as a catalyst for communication. The Living Tower typifies the groovy times of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Verner Panton's Living Tower features four comfortable levels and is one of Panton's most complete experimental furniture designs. It is an extraordinarily inspiring place in which to interact. The Living Tower is an extraordinarily seating sculpture for those who can afford the best of modern design. This Vitra edition is fully authorized by the Panton estate and is custom made in Germany.

The Verner Panton Living Tower consists of two pieces which can be attached or detached. The Living Tower in Red (pictured) is the best seller. But the Living Tower can also be upholstered in any color from the Tonus range. Let us know your color preference and we can send you some fabric samples.
