Spider Floor Lamp by Joe Colombo for Oluce. Oluce Joe Colombo Design Spider Floor Lamp; a classic icon of Italian modern design. The Spider Floor Lamp was designed by Joe Colombo for O-Luce in 1965. In 1967 Spider won the Compasso d'Oro award. It is part of the permanent collections of the Milan Triennale, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Kunstmuseum of Dusseldorf and the "Neue Sammlung" Museum in Munich. In 1972 it went on show at the "Italy: The New Domestic Landscape" exhibition in New York. Joe Colombo was one of the greatest designers of the 20th century. The furniture and lighting Joe Colombo created was practical, comfortable and pleasing for the eye. The classic Joe Colombo Spider Floor Lamp is a timeless floor lamp par excellence. Joe Colombo used this functional modern floor lamp in his own home as well. The joint in the arm makes it possible to pivot, turn or adjust the height of the reflector in one easy step.
