Isamu Noguchi: Freeform Sofa & Ottoman by Vitra
The sculptural quality of Noguchi's design vocabulary finds expression in the Freeform Sofa. In combination with the companion Ottoman, it resembles an enlarged sculpture of flat, rounded river stones. The slender organic forms are fluid and graceful, with thin yet comfortable upholstery that emphasizes the lightness of the design. Originally produced around 1950 in very limited numbers, the few remaining originals achieve record prices at auction today. Since 2002, the group has been produced as a fully authentic re-edition by the Vitra Design Museum.

Designed in 1946. Official authorized version by the Noguchi Estate, produced by Vitra in Germany. Suitable not only for living spaces, but also for lobbies, hotels, and retail settings.
