Joupii – Patrick Rylands Pausable Wooden Figure

Originally designed in 1970 by renowned British toy designer Patrick Rylands, Joupii remains a beloved modern design classic. This is a current production reissue faithfully preserving the spirit and playfulness of the original design.

Made from only six pieces of wood connected by a durable elastic cord, Joupii can be easily repositioned into endless poses. It can stand upright, bend, stretch, or take on amusing and unexpected positions. By adjusting its body configuration, the figure expresses movement, mood, and personality — simply move it and bring it to life.

Perfect for both children and adults, Joupii works as a toy, a decorative object, and a small kinetic sculpture that invites creativity and interaction.

Material characteristics:
All parts are made from solid beech wood. Due to the natural properties of wood and the direction of the cut grain, the head may appear slightly different in tone compared to the arms and legs. This is normal and not a defect.
Each piece is unique and natural variations in color and grain pattern should be expected.

Safety Notice:
Recommended for ages 6+. Not suitable for children under 6 years due to small parts and elastic cord. This item is a design object and should be handled with care.
