The miniature comes in a wooden box with a brochure which provides art-historical information on the background to the design, biography of the designer, and the production history of the respective chair.
Diamond Chair, Designer: Harry Bertoia, 1953. "On close inspection it becomes clear that they (these chairs) are mostly made up of air... Space flows through them," was how Harry Bertoia himself described them. More than 350 welding joints precisely set by hand create this impression of transparent wire. The result is an impressively delicate sculpture and miniature.
