Tear drop Mini Crystal Glass Lamp. A Drop of Light designed by the brilliant designer Tokujin Yoshioka and manufactured by Yamagiwa in Japan. An orb of light floats within the transparent hard glass globe of the tear drop. Scaled to size to a human heart, it is not a lighting fixture, but a design of light, itself. One of the most unique decorative table lamps by Tokujin Yoshioka. Tear Drop Mini is a smaller model from the original Tear Drop lamp which was selected as a collection of MOMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York). And it is now replaced Halogen to LED as light source.
Designer Tokujin Yoshioka applies his unique touch to yet another product category, this time lighting, with the stunning new Tear Drop lamp for the Yamagiwa brand. Yoshioka has proven time and again that he can use a variety of materials in original ways. This time he tackles glass, with the resulting globe not unlike a crystal ball that you could predict the future of design with shaped as a beautiful, floating droplet of water frozen in space.
