Aura Collection, Japan.
The Aura collection represents some of the most recognized designers
of the 20th Century.
Each item is created in limited editons by tradional Japanese craftsmen which emphasizes the high quality of the Aura Collection.
This canister was designed in 1967 by Sergio Asti.
He originally designed it as a table lamp.
The beautiful Darumina canister has a beautiful organic shape with rounded edges.
It is made of high quality Japanese porcelain.
Darumina also has a larger family, the Darumina canisters which are available as well.

Sergio Asti:
After graduating in architecture from the Milan Polytechnics, Asti was active in the field of interior decoration of apartments and commercial interiors, as well as temporary exhibition areas; he also designed objects for interiors; lamps, household appliances and objects in ceramics and glass.
He was one of the founders of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design (1956). Assistant professor at the Milan Polytechnics from 1953 to 1958, he has held courses in several Italian, Portuguese and Japanese universities.
He won the "Compasso d'oro " prize in 1962 and has received a gold and a silver medal at the XI Triennial.
