Authentic Eero Aarnio Ball chair designed by Eero Aarnio in 1966. One of the most remarkable chairs in the furniture history of the 20th century. This chair can be found in museum collections and has been feutured in numerous movie- and television sets as well as advertising, music videos, etc. One of the most iconic chairs ever made!
The Ball Chair - or Globe Chair as it's called sometimes - was designed by using one of the most simple geometric forms - the ball. Cutting of a part and fixing it at one point Eero Aarnio comes to a remarkable result - a completely unconventional shaped chair:
A Ball Chair is a "room within a room" with a cozy and calm athmosphere, protecting outside noises and giving a private space for relaxing or having a phonecall. Turning around its own axis on the base the view to the outer space is variable for the user and thus he is not completely excluded from world outside.
Size: 41.50" diameter x 47.25" height x 38.50" deep.
Colors:
The most popular version is a white globe with either red or black fabric.
The red globe is currently only available with black fabric.
When choosing a fabric, we highly recommend the Hallingdal fabric since it is twice as durable as the Tonus fabric ( 100,000+ cycles, Martindale method).
